1) St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all other evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
2) Thanks to Grunt for pointing out my spelling problems. oy. . .
3) I took yesterday off, because I hadn’t slept well the night before. Something, I don’t know what, woke me at ~2am EST. . . and I couldn’t get back to sleep, no matter how tired I was, until about 4. Not really enough sleep to go with when I got to bed later than I should have, and my alarm is set to go off before 5am. So I called in, and then the news hit of Mr. Breitbart’s passing. Talk about a punch in the gut.
4) Even with sleeping difficulties, as soon as I’d wakened enough to call in, I found I couldn’t sleep again, even though I felt tired enough. So I got up, got breakfast, started cleaning. Thus it was I was in front of my TV, cleaning that room up when the news hit. Golly.
But then I found that my State Tax refund had come in, something I’ve never been able to utilize before, so it was off to pick up some much needed things.
Well, I inteded to pick up some peat pots. What I ended up with was peat pots, seeds, 3 raspberry starts, 2 blackberry starts, and a Catawba Grape vine. And Seed starting and potting soil. And a pot of Carolina Jasmine that smells divine. And bulbs for Cinnamon Fern, astilbe, gladiolus, Lily of the Valley, a rhubarb root, and an onion set that has white, yellow, and red onions. And some stuff from the electrical dept–multimeter, non-contact voltage detector thingy . . .
And then I remembered I needed to stock up on coffee beans, so I had to go to Starbucks. . .
All of which time I’m listening to Rush on the radio, and chuckling over things that are now some sort of controversy. . . whatevs. ..
And then, getting home, remembered that I never got my usual winter order of heirloom seeds in, so found my lists and went through them and ordered my seeds and a set of transplants. And beanpoles from Burpee. Oh, and a pick-lemonade blueberry bush. Called such because hte blueberries are, in fact, the color of pink lemonade. Which is rad.
And then it was time for rehearsal, and that was my day. Cleaned up and got stuff done, but I’m still way behond on sleep, trying to process life. . .
