This was supposed to be for Michaelmas. Or, as the newfangled calendar has it, the Feast of St. Michael, St. Gabriel, and St. Raphael. They used to be different days, but some decades back got all consolidated into one day, and the day chosen was the traditional feast called “Michaelmas”. Yes, like Christmas, only smaller, and right at the beginning of Oktoberfest.
Anyway, this was supposed to be for that day, 29 September, but the thing is that the US Government’s Fiscal Year ends at the end of September, I work in contracts, and this was the worst end-of-year in at least 10 years. So, not only did it not happen, but my brain was fried for about a week after. I started this as one big post but, I’m thinking of serializing it. We all know how long winded I get– I’m thinking that smaller bits might be better…

Oh, you mean here on my site? There may (I think) be automatic shut down of comments after a certain amount of time. . . I don’t recall closing them deliberately , . .
